令和6年5月13日に発生した、熊本県阿蘇市にて匠航空株式会社が運航するヘリコプターによる航空事故についてご報告申し上げます。
We report on the aircraft accident involving a helicopter operated by Takumi Enterprise Co., Ltd. in Aso, Kumamoto, on 13 May 2024.
今回の事故では、ヘリコプターに搭乗していた乗客２名、乗員（操縦士１名）の計３名が骨折等の怪我を負うと重大な事態が生じました。怪我をされた乗客の皆様には心より深くお詫び申し上げます。また、地域住民の皆様や関係者の皆様にも多大なるご迷惑とご心配をおかけすることとなり、重ねて深くお詫び申し上げます。
In this accident, all three people on board, two passengers and one crew member (the pilot), suffered serious injuries including fractures. We sincerely and deeply apologise to the passengers who were injured. We also deeply apologise for the great trouble and worry caused to local residents and everyone concerned.
今回の事故は阿蘇山を周遊する遊覧飛行において、阿蘇山を遊覧した後、着陸場所に戻る途中に何らかの事象が発生し空き地に不時着したものです。
The accident happened on a sightseeing flight around Mt Aso. After the sightseeing, on the way back to the landing site, something occurred and the helicopter made a forced landing on vacant land.
事故原因については、現在、運輸安全委員会の事故調査官による調査が続いております。事故直後にエンジントラブルが原因との一部報道があったものの、現時点で事故原因は特定されておりません。また今回の事故を受けて5月17日に弊社整備部に、同月20日に弊社運航部に対し、大阪航空局による臨時監査が行われましたが、今回の事故原因となる指摘事項はありませんでした。
The cause is still being investigated by accident investigators of the Japan Transport Safety Board. Although some reports soon after the accident said engine trouble was the cause, the cause has not been identified at this time. Following the accident, the Osaka Regional Civil Aviation Bureau carried out special audits of our maintenance department on 17 May and our flight operations department on 20 May, and found nothing that would have caused this accident.
当社といたしましては、今後も運輸安全員会の事故調査に協力するとともに、事故原因の究明と再発防止に努めてまいります。
We will continue to cooperate with the Japan Transport Safety Board's investigation and work to find the cause and prevent a recurrence.
